Equipment composition
PCB recycling equipment is mainly composed of core components such as crushers, sorters, electrostatic separators, and dust removal devices. The crusher crushes the waste circuit boards into fine particles, the sorter separates metals and non-metallic materials through vibrating screens or air flow sorting, and the electrostatic separator uses the difference in conductivity to further purify metals (such as copper, gold, and silver). The whole set of equipment is usually equipped with an automated control system to ensure efficient and environmentally friendly treatment.

Workflow

Crushing stage: PCB boards are coarsely and finely crushed into 1-5mm particles.

Sorting stage: Metals and resin fibers are separated by magnetic separation, air flow separation, or eddy current separation.

Fine separation: The electrostatic separator increases the purity of metals to more than 90%.

Dust removal treatment: Dust removal equipment is equipped throughout the process to avoid dust pollution.

Recycling benefits
One ton of waste PCB contains about 15-20% copper and a small amount of precious metals, and the recycling value can reach tens of thousands of yuan. The higher the metal recovery rate, the shorter the payback period (usually 6-24 months). At the same time, environmental protection policy support and the growth trend of electronic waste have further enhanced the industry’s profit potential.

Price influencing factors
The price of equipment depends on the processing capacity (such as 1-10 tons/hour), degree of automation, sorting technology (the cost of electrostatic sorting is higher than that of mechanical sorting) and brand (the price of domestic equipment is about 50-70% of that of imported equipment). In addition, the higher the environmental protection standards, the higher the equipment cost.

In summary, the investment in PCB recycling equipment needs to balance the initial cost and technology selection, but the long-term economic and environmental benefits are significant.
